latest pics of Jackamo

replaced old gauges with clear inspection covers, lets a little light in...


Original teak and holly floor was damaged during renovations so it was replaced with LVT.  Durable and water resistant as it is applied to marine plywood. 

Interior is clean, not a new boat but not as bad as many race boats. 




Replaced the old teak tiller post with aluminum bar.   

cushions for both sides of the main cabin. 



Most of the cleats are on the mast to avoid adding holes and stress to the cabin top. 

New stanchion bases. New PVC Toe rails. 





New chainplate covers.


New Geneoa track blocks. 

New blocks throughout cockpit, on mast and deck.



She is dirty in this pic but when cleaned up, shines like new. 


Could use a bath...

Paint is going on now!

After almost a year, we decided to get back to it and get this thing done!  The final stages of the topside paint should be done this weekend.  Additional photos to come...

After 3 months of drying out, cutting, fiberglassing and sanding, Jackamo is just about ready for her new topside finish.  The infamous James Howard, J24 Extrodinair, is armed with all of the materials and if we ever see sunshine again, she will be beautiful with a new non skid Finish.

Progress has been slow and the weather has been bad.  I did manage to get the bottom painted...
      
 
                                     
I think it turned out nice.  I held off on painting the keel for now.  We are going to template and fair the keel before putting a new finish...
